New River Animal Hospital was founded in July 1987 by Dr. Connie Hyler-Both, DVM. Dr. Connie and Office Manager Vivian Meador cared for the patients, cleaned kennels, and did everything else required to get the hospital up and running. In October of 1987, one more staff member, Donna Baker, was added. We've continued to grow thanks to our loyal clients and the commitment we have to our patients. Today we have a staff which includes a Manager and 8 full and parttime staff members. Their goal is to do the very best they can to keep your pet healthy and happy. We believe we must tell you what your pet needs and why so you can make the best decisions concerning their care. We want you to be actively involved as a part of the "care team" for your furry family member.
October begins our semi-annual SPAYTOBERFEST for cats and dogs! We will reduce our prices on spaying and neutering this month. Residency and income not required for reduced pricing. Appointment needed.
BLOOD PARASITE & LYME DISEASE TESTING
We strongly recommend that dogs are tested for heartworm disease and other tick-borne infections/diseases yearly. Ticks are expanding their range. Because of this we are seeing an increase in Lyme disease in dogs, and other tick-borne diseases. We have had many who have tested positive just since January. It is as simple as a test and 2 boosters to prevent this disease. Free NexGard flea/tick preventative with appointment. Please call us for more details! 304-466-0251
